TakeTurns Tips: How to use the Ghost role

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that there are collaborations where you’ll want to keep someone informed without letting others know. When collaborating in email, this is the true purpose of BCC (blind carbon copy).

But, BCC has problems. This is why TakeTurns has a Ghost role!

How to use the Ghost role

The Ghost role is only available for Plus subscribers. When you add a new participant, simply set their role to Ghost. You can also change the role of an existing participant to Ghost.

  1. Navigate to the participant screen
  2. Add a new participant or select an existing participant
  3. Choose ghost from the role drop down menu

When to use the Ghost role

Use the ghost role as a better BCC, anytime you need to keep someone invisibly in the loop. Here are some examples of how TakeTurns users are using the Ghost role:

Management Oversight: A sales manager uses the Ghost feature to track the progress of a new sales rep's interactions with prospects.

Legal and Compliance Review: A legal team uses the Ghost feature to monitor interactions with clients. They can catch potential legal issues before they become problems, allowing the sales (or renewals) team to close with less risk.

Project Collaboration: In a project involving multiple teams inside and outside the organization, the project manager uses the Ghost feature to allow key stakeholders from each group to monitor progress across collaborations.
